So good!

This compilation really gets into the nitty gritty of her career. There are several versions of the same songs but in different languages. If you're into that sort of thing then this is for you. This isn't for the casual fan though. It's great for people like me who want to delve into her music. She reminds me of some other famous divas with her contralto voice. I read once that she didn't like the way she looked-that she looked too masculine. She was WAY ahead of her time!

Good fun songs

I bought this for the Dwight Yoakam track. I was delighted that there are other reasons to own this. The Brad Paisley track is the best I think. Alison Krauss is good at everything she does. Other songs are catchy like "Trucks."

Almost everything I wanted

This film kept my interest which isn't easy. It was paced pretty well. Some of the songs were a little monotone especially from the narrator. Ryôhei Suzuki gave a great performance (he's the reason I wanted this film). Almost everyone else was good too. The ending was disappointing. I understand what they were doing, but I still think it fizzled out at the end and didn't make any sense especially because Suzuki's character wanted to fight one guy for the exact opposite reason he wanted to fight the other guy. I don't know if that ending was directly lifted from the original manga, so I can't dock its score too much for that. A satisfying ending and stronger narrator would have gotten in five stars.
