Genuine W10599356 Whirlpool Appliance Valve

An OEM replacement part

It is an OEM replacement part. The part received was the original OEM part (part number W10509710); not the replacement part (part number W10599356) as shown above. Whirlpool says both parts are the correct part. Replacing the valves stopped the cold water line from thumping. In testing the valves the resistance on all three coils showed the same and the ac line voltage was constant across each coil when activated. I think a part of the cold water valve must have broken inside the housing; that caused the cold water pipe to keep thumping when the cold water valve was turn on.
