Around 3 Minutes of maximum brightness - then goes to DIM mode.

1. (See page 3 of the user manual) Maximum brightness is only available for a short time as It automatically goes into a DIM mode after only 3 minutes of max brightness.
This can not be changed. You have to turn the torch off and wait until it cools before another 3 minutes of maximum brightness. (The CREE leds in the lamp need a much larger heatsink)
2. After a further short period in DIM mode again reduces light output.
If you wish to have a bright torch for emergency use then make sure the emergency lasts no longer than 3 minutes. The battery life is very long beacuase the low light output. This is not worth the money paid.
