Lightweight and long battery life
This is my 4th ThinkPad. The battery is incredible. For example, I'm 3 hrs into this charge and I've only used 20% battery (internet, streaming TV shows, YouTube videos, music). The T490s is very light, comparable to my wife's MacBook Air. Something I appreciate about ThinkPads is Lenovo's device management software (Lenovo Vantage). Lots of features in Vantage, but the one I like most is being able to limit the battery charge level. I only charge the laptop to 80% to decrease wear on the battery.
