An interesting adapation of a better book
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich As everyone will tell you, a movie based on a book cannot really be compared to the book, as it is a different media and there are different standards for what works best in each. Even so, I still expect the plot and characters to be close when a book is as fresh and original as this one -- so, why the producers of the movie felt it necessary to change the plot so much, to drop some of the best scenes in the book and to add and delete substantial supporting characters is beyond me. In short, do not watch this expecting to find a faithful rendering of the story from the book onto the movie screen.
However, it is a ripping good story, even with these quibbles. There is more than enough here for a pilot for a good mini-series or regular series. If you like dinosaurs and PIs and high-tech and conspiracies and film noire and all that jazz, or any combination of 2 or more of the above, get this one!

Solid fun for the bucks
Good sized pink dice stand out in a pile of more-often-seen colors, so they're easy to spot when you're playing with a bunch of dice at once. These have a nice finish and feel to them.
