Bragg’s writing makes my brain smile
Sometimes a song will cement a place and time in your mind. That’s the way I remember discovering Rick Bragg. I was at my local tire store thumbing through a worn copy of Southern Living magazine. His writing of rural Alabama as a young boy took me back to my childhood in Texas. He’s genuine. A true craftsman with our language. Any subject, whether a cook book or Alabama football, when touched by Bragg, will make your brain smile. Get this book. ...and everything else he’s written. Jump on the Bragg train. Hmmmmm. I think I need new tires!
