Pleasantly surprised
Good sturdy foldable clipboard. Just the ticket for shopping lists, to-do lists, and jotting down any little sketches of jobs around the house. It has a pen/pencil holder and a small plastic compartment inside the front cover, I keep a six-inch ruler there, perfect.

Makes life easy
I have a roller, but this brush is ideal for smaller, hard-to-reach jobs. Spreads the glue well and is very easy to clean. Highly recommended.

A heartwarming read.
A fabulous, must read book for any local historian interested in the Collyhurst/Angel Meadow part of Manchester. It's a story of hardship and poverty, but also about the way the people in the communities looked after each other, which sadly, has all but disappeared now.
It's a real eye-opener about the harsh realities of life, where, there was no sick pay if you fell ill at work, no benefits to help you if you lost your job, no holiday pay. It made you smile to read about how people rallied round and looked after those who fell on hard times.
