Ditko: The Best Version Of Spider-Man
Stan Lee usually gets too much credit for his contributions to the early days of the series. The truth is, Stan gave a rough plot to Ditko and he soared with it. He just got better and better at telling a story in pictures and words. It's a shame that Stan needs to be a glory hog. Read these for yourself. In fact, just follow through a story just looking at the sequential art. He was so good you'd have known the story without words. The first 4 volumes of Spider-Man are essential reading.
