The ressurection Of The Shroud by Mark Antonacci
I loved this book. It was informative and engaging. I have always enjoyed researching the Shroud of Turin, and this book did a wonderful job of gathering information from varying sources and trades into one comprehensive book. I have always been a very deep feeling Christian, but this book made me come to terms a little more with the actual physical nature of the life of Jesus, to better grasp the physical reality of his life and free him from the realm of another story about a man who lived a long time ago. This book has had the unforeseen side-effect of strengthening my belief in my faith.
That said, I would recommend this book to anyone, Christian or not. Because whether or not you believe in the historical Jesus, whether he was who the gospels claim, the shroud itself is a wonderful scientific mystery that titillates the eager and open minds seeking its cause. To Christians, it is a wonderful support for your faith, and for non-Christians, a wonderful CSI-like story.
