The Burr Brown OPA-2604 IC is an excellent design
I am using a single Brown OPA-2604 in a phono preamp for which the circuit board is also an Ebay item.. Although people who are not audiophiles may think this is ridiculous, this particular IC, which is an older design, has a reputation for a refined and euphonic sound.in audio applications. I agree, it has outstanding resolution and silky smoothness. The phono preamp using the OPA-2604 sounds better than a much more complex discrete phono stage that I previously built. I was happy to find the OPA-2604 as an NOS item on Ebay. I have purchased 4.ICs in total to have spares.
