My 15-year-old radio is alive again.

I was concerned when the battery arrived in a very much discharged state, but an overnight charge and it came back to life. I have not charged it in a week and it is still going strong, given that I only transmit a few minutes a day. Recommended.

Exactly what I needed for my electronics project.

I have lots of wall-warts lying around but this is the only one I have found that is 12 volts at 3.5 amps with the correct barrel connector. Yes, it is Netgear branded, but I am using it to power a small electronics project. In case you are interested, the project is called a Digi-Pi and it consists of a Raspberry Pi computer and a UDRC-II ham radio modem. It is used for ham radio chat messaging.
