Just the right size for customization.
For my purposes, this item was ok. I don't recommend this for personal play as it is rather on the large size and the sound isn't very loud. The two large buttons are rather difficult to press to switch between the two different sounds. After refurbishing, it works very well. After electronic customization, it pops balloons at 10 feet and is very entertaining! If you are a Star Trek fan, it is a must have. For the kids, I think there are better phasers too choose from.

A Disc Cleaner That Scratches Rather Than Cleans...
The Aleratec Model 240131 (not the one pictured) destroys DVDs with swirl marks. The cleaning pad has a hard center which acts like a wick, soaking up the cleaning solution. This "wick" tends to scratch the surface of Tayo Yuden Watershield DVDs. It doesn't seem to harm Blu-Rays for some reason. Also, the solution that you put into the cleaning reservoir (supposed to fill it to about 80%) doesn't last long - it evaporates quickly.

Nice compact design which I incorporate into other projects.
Nice compact design. I just buy this for the circuit board, which I incorporate into other projects. If you don't know how to solder SMC you can substitute the included resistor with an axial 3K resistor.
