The perfect everyday lens, and more!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this as an upgrade to the Canon 50mm 1.8. In two years, I may wish that invested in the 1.2 L instead- but for my specific need, I wanted a 50mm better than the 1.8 and I wanted it fast!!
All around, this is an amazing lens for daily use. It's quiet, compact, and the focal length is great for a magnitude of uses on a full-frame body. I do a lot of weddings, and it's really a great length for group portraits and single portraits, but also can be used for a medium-wide all over shot. Perfect for prime candids, too. The images are sharp, and you can definitely shoot at 1.4 without much concern...except for the purple fringing is a little extreme at 1.4 . It really lightens at 1.8 and 2.0, and IS recoverable wide open, but it's definitely something to be aware of.
