Not the same as when it was French, but even better
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich This is the 3rd iteration of the original made in France brush, and once I got used to the larger size I think it is the best one yet. The original French brush used to break diagonally across the back and as with the following two productions, the metal bristles would manage to sink into the rubber base and require regular extending with tweezers or needle-nose pliers. The second brush, made in France by a different company, was much the same. Over the years I must have broken at least 3 brushes across the back. The next brush was made in China and looked just like the other two, but apparently the bristles were made of steel, but not stainless. Since I brush my long hair under the shower, the bristles soon rusted and fell out. This brush is a different shape and is somewhat larger and heavier, but here are the good things: 1) The bristles have a cuff that prevents them from sinking into the rubber base. 2) The brush I have been using for more than a year shows no sign of weakness on the back. 3) The brush is half the cost of the original Scalpmaster from years ago.
My latest purchase was for my granddaughter whose original Scalpmaster just broke across the back. She says the brush is sharper than hers was but I have found that using it smooths the bristles out. I would gladly buy this one again if I needed one.
If you have long, thick hair, this might be a good brush for you.
