Friendly Chemistry
This book is easy to read and understand. I wish I had used this curriculum with my older daughter. The chapters are short...just enough information to grasp. The activity worksheets that follow each lesson are a very good review for the student. I would recommend this chemistry curriculum for any high schooler. Even without a teacher, the student could grasp the main concepts and do well.

Easy to use
The review book has 5 questions about the lesson for the day. They are factual questions found in the text. After every four lessons, there is a Unit Test with the exact same questions from the lessons. Because of this, I find that the tests are too easy, so I will supplement with my own. But if you are looking for something your student can read and complete on his own, with no parent help, then this workbook is for you.
