Way better than the LG G3
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich I haven't owned a ton of smartphones, but I have had a chance to try the LG G3 and the LG G2 and can honestly say the LG G2 is a much better phone.
The screen on the G2 is nicer (brighter & more vivid), and even though you can't replace the batteries, charges last forever. If I don't use it, it'll stay charged for days on standby. I could easily get over 12 hours with heavy use, and regular use could probably charge every other day. The body feels more solid and has a higher quality feel. NFC, internal gyro (good to use with Google Cardboard), and USB host mode (I can attach an external midi keyboard for music) are a few extras that I appreciate.
On the other hand, the G3 has horrible battery times, I even bought a new battery I thought maybe it was old, but nope, the battery life was still just as bad. It wouldn't last 24 hours even if I turned off all the services, put it in airplane mode and didn't touch it. Normal use could stretch 8 hours, heavy use less than 6 hours. Although you can replace the battery easily and upgrade memory, it doesn't make up for the fact that you can't really use it that much without burning through the battery. The body is more like a light weight plastic, and even though the screen is higher resolution and slightly bigger, it appears more dull, and gets VERY hot which I think might be part of the problem with the battery drain.
I've found the G2 to be a solid, full featured, well built, easy to use smartphone. Highly recommend it!

Good handset
Works great with the CL84100 base, only had a small issue setting it up. At first there was an error on the handset that read "no pwr out of range" and couldn't get it to register. Eventually found a reset code online:
*331734# followed by menu/select
After that was able to follow the normal pairing instructions:
- Press and hold handset locator on base station until ‘in use’ light comes on
- Press # on the handset and the phone registers itself to the base station
Getting the correct handset for the base unit was worth it, my mom uses it to screen solicitors. You can see the caller id, even check voice messages from the base unit and save/delete them all from the handset.
I like the overall design of the handset as well - it's light but sturdy, buttons are big and easy to read/press, signal is clear, and feels compact, what more could you ask for?

Worked great!
Perfect for replacing a broken screen and digitizer. It's not easy, but all the required components are there. Phone works like new and looks great.
