Our Souls At Night
This is a heart warming and then heart rending story that I read in an afternoon- so beautifully written that I will be looking for more books by Kent Haruf who sadly passed away after completing this very special novel.

A Bit Disappointed
Was really looking forward to replacing my old Sony AM/FM Pocket Radio that has been held together with masking tape for a very long time. Loved the smart look of this Philips Model. So sad to discover that the volume is not very strong and that it chews through the batteries very quickly. If it was just a few millimetres thicker and could accommodate the larger batteries, maybe that would solve both problems. Afraid to say that my old, battered, taped up Sony is back in service again - thank goodness I didn't toss it out!
