outstanding mic!
reflecting back after 10 years of on-the-air radio experience and 30 years as a sound engineer/event producer, you can imagen how many mics crossed my path, with a variety of situations. also, my electronic technology background has taught me the difference between knowledge and information. ok, so why does this mic earn a 5 star rating? simple, "it does what it says." they're too many "58" wanna be's on the market that all sound the same, mostly due to cupping and swallowing mic techniques. the RT1 sounds and performs like a smooth and accurate expensive mic...without ragged high frequencies and ribbon fragilities. i use it on horn instruments, strings, wood winds, lecterns, and voice-overs. back slightly away from it and let the mic do it's magic. the price point is very reasonable. only con, it needs a little more gain from your pre-amp due to it's wide bandwidth. overall...BUY IT!
