Nice lens
I am very impressed with this lens.
It was an impulse buy after looking for a new lens to go with my Sony A100.
I was surprised how sharp it was when opened f2.8 and at the widest angle (24mm).
The sharpness does drop off at the corners and there is evidence of chromatic distortion.
When stopped down a bit the sharpness comes back.
When using above 35mm there is no problem with the sharpness, it is sharp from corner to corner.
I do like this lens and since I received it, it has not been off my camera.
The fact that the focal lenght is 24mm to 135mm makes it a useful lens as this is the main range I take photos at. Sometime I do want to go up to 200mm but I'll live with it.
Some may feel it's a bit heavy but it's a lot of glass at the front end (77mm filter) and 16 elements in the lens.
I would say that the lens is not to hot at taking fast moving shots (like F1 cars) but I want a different lens for this.
The main thing is that I will keep this lens for a long time and still be happy with the results.

You will need this!
‘‘This book gives you the answers to the practice workbook and you really need it!
CGP should include it at the back of the workbook but as they don’t you need to purchase it separately.
I don’t see the point in using the practice book if you can’t check and see if the answers are correct.

Not for carpet
This product is well made, was well packaged and arrived very quickly, however on my carpet it just does not work.
I have quite a heavy chair which maybe the problem but the castors just sink into the mat and it doesn’t allow the chair to glide. In fact the mat has indents from the chair wheels.
I don’t have thick pile carpet so can only put it down to the weight of the chair.
