To be a Cynic or not!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have been listening to my son quote Diogenes and without much background on the subject, have been out of the loop. I can see now with the aid of this book why the Cynic made such a name for himself. Can you believe Alexander the Great wanted to make this man rich and he didn't see the point of it? Diogenes chose to live in poverty. I think our classrooms often do not touch on subjects that are uncomfortable.

1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I bought this to complete my research on Heath Ledger's films. I was so surprised by the sophistication and the humorous side of this film. It was outrageous in an adult sort of way. Great story with a happy ending. Much like the films of old. The only one I think where Ledger doesn't actually die in the last scene. You could tell he really enjoyed this film and I had to watch the extra footage of the scenes and staging over and over. It was actually made in Venice and the age of the story fits the age of the scenes. It was the best in my opinion of Ledgers more adult films. He grew up to be a wonderful actor and this left me with both sadness at his loss and happiness that he had reached this level of performance before his untimely death.

Restoring a Beer Sign from the 50's with the right product.
We hunted high and low for a similar product and it just wasn't what we had hoped to see, so we purchased this from Haydon and it was exactly what we needed. Our find is operational and is a crowd pleaser again. I had hoped for an easier resolution but going with quality in this case was the solution. The product is reliable and precisely the item.
