Gods and Generals/Gettysburg Package
A high quality pair of movies played out by a large ensemble cast and exploring the key figures and events of the American Civil War. Gods and Generals features the legendary Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, his triumphs, many idiosynchracies and ultimately his death at the hands of his own pickets. Also, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain whose presence at many salient engagements seemed to punctuate the story of the war and, in a particularly fine scene, the re-enactment of his charge at Little Round Top is excellent. Overall, both films are very solid, well acted and adhere to the facts and important events such as Picketts Charge are quite memorable. I recommend this package to anyone interested in this period of history.
