Wet clutch drum holder tool Ducati 848 Monster Multistrada Panigale 899 ST3

Just not strong enough for the job
The tool fits the 899 wet clutch boss. However, In simple terms, this item just isn’t good enough for the job. The 190Nm torque required on the clutch nut is way too much for the spanner to handle. There are only two screws holding the handle onto the ring. These sheared and also pulled the ring out of shape. The handle is soft aluminium and the ring is only marginally harder. Not sure if the ring is steel but it certainly wasn’t tough. I ended up making a tool myself out of aluminium plate and the remnants of the spanner.
