A great book warrants a great production
Prodded to reread W&P by the dreadful BBC series, I found my tattered paperback version (used to death actually) unreadable, so decided to invest in this Everyman version. What a luxury to find a book that is easy in the hand, bound firmly but easily held open, and clearly printed on truly white paper. I'm reading twice as fast, too!
And as everyone knows, the tale is full of action and thought and sweeping perspectives - yet deeply human. Not at all daunting if you take it in chunks.

Engaging review of an unfamiliar topic
Covers "everyone but Shakespeare" in the period 1560 to 1640, a whole era of excellent but often neglected playwrights who get overshadowed by the big one. The claim is there were 3000 plays written and performed, of which an amazing 500 still survive in print. The book covers biographical and literary assessments, and the historical and cultural background, as well as the complex relationships between them all - a good read.

Ultra- sharp, balance ok, curve is just ...
Ultra- sharp, balance ok, curve is just right for the worst brushwood and weeds - but it could look like a weapon. Main (first) usage will be on a bramble patch. A bit scary.
Selling with a sheath would be re-assuring both for carrying around and storage. I've made a crude sheath for it
