Beautiful pen great price.
The pen needed its nib adjusted, the pen looks genuine enough but packaging did not match the other montegrappa I own. May be just a coincidence, the nib was not tight and had to adjust using the insert a razor between the tines method. Now the pen works perfectly the medium is indeed that medium size.

Great Pens, Great Prices
Jinhao is a Chinese manufacturer of writing instruments for those of us that still use paper and ink. These are the ballpoint version of the Jinhao 900 series, which is also available as a rollerball and for those of us that love fountain pens it also materializes that way.
You will only find such a balanced, well made writing instruments if you are willing to spend in the area of hundreds of dollars like in a Mont Blanc or other European made pens. Actually we have used Jinhao nibs in some European pens because I find them smoother.
Back to this model, the ballpoint uses parker type refills available on any office xyzzy or stapxxx store. So yes there are gel type refills for these pens.
We use these as nice gifts for clients and friends, my sons and daughter in laws have these and love to use them, no complaints.
You can't go wrong with these pens.
