Why did I buy it??? That's easy; Hoppy was a favorite of mine in the 50's. To this day I can remember waiting by the TV on Saturday morning waiting for HOppy to come on. He even preempted the cartoons! Why did I buy it ... well to put it mildly, I was unaware it was available until I did a search on ebay. When I saw the item it was a "NO BRAINER".
