addi Needle Gauge with retractable knife

In the past, when I ordered one of these, there was a retractable blade in the unit. This time, although there was a space for the blade, the blade was not in the space. Put another way, the unit was designed for a retractable blade but there was no blade in either unit I purchased. I still gave the sender 5 stars for two reasons. First, US post may not have allowed the blade to enter the US. Second, I did not purchase this item for the blade for Addi knitting needles.
