Professional wireless microphone receivers.

"Tell us more" questions are inappropriate for this (these items). These are 2nd to latest wireless mic receivers from a company that arguably makes the best. Hell, no! Setting up such a system and adjusting parameters is not easy ... and weight has nothing to do with it. I knew what I was buying and I believe it was a fair deal if everything worked ... and after initial installation everything works as expected. I also have the new XLR type battery operated transmitter-receiver pairs that plug directly into the mic and mixing board. They are convenient, but lithium batteries degrade and the units are not designed for end user battery replacement. You have to send them back and pay a hefty amount for replacement. The EW series, on the other hand, have a receiver that plugs to mains and replaceable batteries in the mic component ... as well as a host of other advanced features unavailable in the XLR units. Much cheaper in the long run.

Some things will last forever ...

I'm not sure how old this design is ... but it is unsurpassable in form and function. It is solid real metal ... virtually indestructible. It provides multiple points of articulation ... two in the x-axis with the hexagonal shaft and the mic holder clamp screw; one in the y-axis with the hexagonal shaft; and, of course, z-axis once the articulating mic holder clamp is attached. This well-designed clamp is in 'beast mode' just as, for an example, the Triad-Obit stands.
