Not quite the real deal but what can you do
When the QC1 headphones become detached form the headphone bodies they are extremely difficult to repair. This is because they were manufactured with special adhesives that degrade over time, temperature and handling conditions. In addition, if the earpiece is damaged there is no ready replacement from Bose. These replacements are good but not quite as soft as the original bose which you can't get anywhere. I have repaired my originals by carefully sewing the earpiece and cushion components together while keeping this replacement item only as a spare. I have QC 35ii's and even that headphone is not any better than the original QC1.

Getting this element saved me over $300 versus calling in a tech, having them diagnose and repair. Packaging was excellent.

August Doorbell Cam Pro - a good partner with August Lock
The August Doorbell Cam Pro has some mixed reviews but I had an August Door Lock so decided to get the Doorbell Cam Pro and use it within the same hub and app. The camera is fairly easy to install, The setup can be pre-tested inside your home with the USB plug on the device. We measured the existing doorbell voltage before installation. Our doorbell circuit voltage was slightly below the recommended range but still worked with the Doorbell Cam Pro. The doorbell must be the 'traditional' type that operates with a transformer and electromagnet. The doorbell illuminates the immediate area when someone approaches and a notification can be sent to your phone. The picture is very clear and you can set up a echo show or other device to display the camera live view on any device you set up. I use an echo spot and show to view the door cam with an alexa command. The doorbell itself is not so obvious as to be immediately recognized as a doorbell - but delivery people have that figured out.
