Hi folks, I am a salmon and steelhead guide. My knowledge of this sport is 45 years deep in the PNW. I won’t let you buy something that will not benefit your desired species AND METHODS. In other words, I’ve used about every kind of gear. The experience and knowledge I’ll share, will be worth the $ you spend alone. Ask questions! I service all of the reels myself. As I worked in the shimano service dept for a few years. I clean them sonically as well to get them 100% clean.

Understand folks, the exact same excsence that cost 525 made out of magnesium, or 325 made out of ci4. A great reel, by far their best deal on market.!

I’m a professional reel technician. I literally could fish anything I wanted to. These reels are built to last and endure. Absolutely smooth to the bone. Was casting an 1/8 th of an oz just fine. Landed chinook on the reel, the reel easily did the job. Even though drag was pinned, stayed smooth. Zero issues. Hell of a reel. I have it next to a 300 series shimano scorpion monster drive for refrerence.
