Great for curious kids
Although I was a little concerned this would be too outdated to be useful, my kids (ages 4 and 6) love it! I just left it on their bookshelf and they’ve looked at it almost everyday since it arrived over a week ago!

Smaller than expected but still great
I originally bought this for my kids (4 and 6) who are studying Chinese. I was expecting it to be the size of a hardcover picture book but it is much more “pocket-sized”. Although we probably won’t use it as I originally envisioned (them looking through it at the pictures and picking up some characters as they go), it is a great reference for me as a non-native Chinese speaker since the combination of picture, character, pinyin, and English makes it very useful.

Does NOT include Before the Dinosaurs: Walking with Monsters
I bought this for my 5 and 7 year old sons since we have started homeschooling and are covering prehistory. They started watching the series on YouTube, but the ads were becoming a real issue so we gave them these DVDs as a birthday gift and they have loved them. I, however, was disappointed to discover that the "Complete Walking With Collection" did not include the Walking with Monsters episodes about life before dinosaurs. Admittedly, it was my own fault for not reading the fine print about what was and wasn't included; but, I would have much preferred to have that series included in this DVD set than many of the bonus discs about "the making of" the series. As it turns out, I was able to find that in a single disc form on Amazon, but, I still wish I had known before purchasing this set that Walking with Monsters was not included.
