"Amazing insight into an extraordinary powerful war machine with weaknesses"
The book uses facts about the little known secret and stealthy world of the ballistic missile nuclear submarines that patrol the worlds oceans and seas. They are the hunted trying to position themselves to be ready to respond to a nuclear attack on their country. Interwoven is insight on Admiral Rickover and his almost absolute rule over the every aspect of the US nuclear Navy.
There is suspense, mystery and intrigue that holds your attention. I could not put the book down, just one more chapter before I go to sleep, then one more and so on.
It is well written and well researched. The reader will be introduced and immersed in a alien environment that is the home for the submariners for 3 months at a stretch without relief.
I will read it again!
