Meat Thermometer, DOQAUS Instant Read Cooking Thermometer, Digital Food

Digital thermometer - review.

When using my air fryer, I require a quick and accurate method of checking that meat is cooked to the correct temperature (getting it wrong can be detrimental to health) and a mercury type of meat thermometer just doesn't cut it - too slow to respond. This digital thermometer is easy to use and provides a temperature reading very quickly - which is what you want. However; there is a downside, as the user guide's text is very small so you need a magnifying glass to read the instructions - LOL! Nevertheless; it does the job and is worth the price.

Nice piece of kit - does the job.

Pro: The unit is connected locally to my TV and to another TV upstairs in my bedroom - utilising HDMI extenders and ethernet cables. The picture/sound quality is very good and as an added bonus for those of you who have a Virgin Media V6 box, you can power the unit directly via the V6 box USB port. Con: The LED lights on the unit are extremely bright and could prove to be a distraction - especially in a darkened room. You may have to position the unit accordingly or (like I did) put something in front of the LED's to reduce the glare - LOL!

Works as expected.

Card purchased for installation into my HP Laserjet 5 printer, Installed and connected via a LAN patch lead to my router. When installed, the card, it didn't work as expected, however that was my fault, as I forgot to take into account that the card was still programmed for the previous owners' printer setup - duhh ......! After a quick cold reset on my printer, the issue was fixed. As the card's IP Address and Subnet Mask settings were automatically detected via DHCP. The above obtained details were then entered into the printer setup settings on my Linux Mint system and voila - now works perfectly.
