A highly interesting look at the possibilities the Transformers franchise might have for us in real life.
Despite being a big Transformers fan, the live-action movies are some of my only exposure to the franchise, and whether you are a fan of them as well or the eighties cartoon, this book details what might happen should we encounter Transformer-like aliens in any capacity 'out there'. I find no reason to dismiss the potential of life beyond what we know, and I love books that discuss this, particularly by considering real-life implications of meeting such cultures. I find this book to be a fascinating read whether you like Transformers or the search for life out in the cosmos.

I can finally watch all of this great show.
I'm glad I can finally watch Beast Wars in its entirety. Even when I was a child, I never saw much of it, and having my own money as an adult means I now can. Either this or the Prime cartoon is my favorite iteration of Transformers, and after some unpleasantness with a copy of Season 3 I bought elsewhere, I love having a copy I can actually watch for once. The technology is great for its time or any time, the writing is funny and heartening at the same time, and the overall story is amazing to follow. I quite recommend this series to any Transformers fan, and I'm glad Ebay got me a reliable copy.

This is a great figure, but surprisingly fragile in some places.
After seeing a review of this figure on YouTube, I was quite excited to be able to purchase it. While I love the movie designs and especially those from different eras before the movies, this figure unfortunately isn't anywhere near as sturdy as the review I saw showed it as. I cannot get the alternate mask on the Starscream head for love nor money, and particularly damning, the connector peg for the bonus Blitzwing head snapped clean off the second I tried to attach it. I'm now scared to transform the figure, much less swap any pieces on it, so that's a strike against it. It does look great and if quality control was better, it might be more fun to transform and mess with the accessories. This could just be on my copy but it does deserve mentioning.
