no more rental charges (Optimum)

Modem works great. was able to switch from a rental (same model) to this. no packet loss or de-syncs so far. very happy with my new (used) modem.

these are fantastic value for what they are/do.

the connectors are of good quality. the wires are copper which make these great for modding. length is also good. very pleased with these.

rough around the edges (literally) but excellent where it counts

the negatives... the plastic is sharp on most of it's edges. i took some scotch bright to de-bur them. also, the top had some flashing that would rub on the indicator light when closing. was very easy to remove with a utility knife. the hinge, clips, jumpers, and terminals are all of excellent quality. it has a smooth feel when engaging the jumpers. the clips have a strong spring to them for a positive connection to the DUT. terminals in the bottom to connect a cord (which it doesn't come with) are easy to connect. i used a 3 wire 14gauge cord and a 15A 125v grounded plug. 14 gauge was snug, but fits nicely. the indicator light is old school orange neon. it's bright enough and should last a very, very long time. over all i'm VERY pleased with my Quicktest. i'm confident i won't get a zing when testing equipment.
