Durable with consistently solid performance
I prefer hooking up speakers via AUX. That way, I don't have to deal with BT's unreliability. These were a great bargain. I didn't expect them to last long, but in the roughly a year that I've been using them, then wrapping them up to store, then using them again, they've worked without a hitch. Great to get electronics that do just what's advertised and last for many uses.

There're good reasons this keyboard is so cheap
I've been hunting for a solid backlit keyboard for years since my Logitech failed. The wireless versions cost far more, so I thought I'd try this plug-in version. First, the positives. The keyboard works without requiring any driver downloads (Mac OS). And all the keys function reliably.
Now for the negatives--the reasons I've stopped using this keyboard. First, the layout is NOT standard for the US, if you're accustomed to that kind of keyboard. For one thing, the return key is FOUR keys away from the L-key. So I'm constantly making typing mistakes--since all my other keyboards are US standard layouts and my fingers have gotten accustomed to typing on that layout. Second, and this is a minor complaint, the keys are too soft. There's no satisfying spring as you're typing. Sometimes, if you're a very fast typer, you wonder if you've actually depressed a particular key since there was so little feedback.
But my biggest gripe is the backlighting. I bought the keyboard b/c I do a lot of night work typing. However, there's no way to turn down the solar-flare-like backlighting which in a dark room is overwhelming on the eyes. So I can't even use the keyboard for the main purpose I bought it. I keep it in a junk tech drawer for the off chance my day-to-day (non-backlit wireless) keyboard goes out. But I wouldn't buy this keyboard again, no matter the cost savings.

Understated and reliable without any (night) light pollution
This is one of the only USB connectors I could find that doesn't have an annoying LED light that glares at you at night. The adapter works just as intended, is easy to handle thanks to the small indentations, and plugs/unplugs without a hitch into every outlet I've tried to date.
