Easter Story for Older Children
Max Lucado’s Easter Story is beautifully done. However, it is more appropriate for an older child who has already learned the story of the Crucifixion, with the truth of Jesus’ suffering. I ordered this book for a five year old and it is much too graphic in word and illustration for a child’s first exposure to the Crucifixion. It would scare her. I wish I could have read it through before ordering it, but I’ll probably just offer it to our Sunday School library for the older set of kids so it can still be of us.
