The gasket isn't the problem
5 von 5 finden das hilfreich This is a great replacement gasket, but the gasket isn't the problem. The reason the gasket leaks is because most people over tighten the valve cover and distort the mating surface causing uneven seating and eventually, an oil leak. The fact that the muffler is directly below the valve cover causes the gasket to become hot and brittle as well. Using a good quality gasket sealer such as Permatex High Temp will help keep a good seal when replacing the gasket.

Great Replacement Unit
If you're looking for a replacement horn that still has the electronic sound this is a great option. Much less expensive than the ones I saw at boating supply stores. It just as loud as the original and easy to install. If you want louder or different sounding horn look to spend a bit more money and probably will have to mount it differently. This one is great for the average boater who wants to be USCG compliant.
