"Cruisin' Deuces" CD with Danny Gatton et. al.
Danny Gatton, now deceased, was a fantastic guitarist. He did not record very many songs. This is one of two CD sets produced with Elektra Entertainment in the early '90s. Yes, you can listen to both on YouTube, but with the CD's, you have portability to listen while on trips. If you have never listened to Danny's various musical styles, you really owe it to yourself to do so. And you like what you are hearing, seize the opportunity to own something that is becoming rarer by the day.

Originally filmed to raise home front morale, this excellent documentary presents life aboard the U.S. carrier Yorktown.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The film engages the viewer and gives a fabulous 60-minute, fast moving, taste for daily life on an aircraft carrier. Much of the film taken for this film has been "borrowed" for other films. You experience the slow times as well as the action. The carrier was unnamed when released, so it could represent them all. You become so involved with the story that you actually think you are aboard the ship with the others. Young people should view this video in order to provide them some actual WWII footage - in color and see how it was to a part of history.

Let The Good Doctor Prescribe The Best Medicine!
If I have to tell you about Dr. Demento's radio show, this CD will have no meaning. If I have to tell you about the songs and the performers, ditto. I bought the album mainly to have Tom "T-Bone" Stankus' rendition of "Existential Blues."
We all have a silly bone that needs stimulating from time to time. These songs (not all of which are favorites) probably has something for everyone. Get it while it is still available and enjoy - - and don't let anyone question your sanity!
