Easy build and works great
Clean and well-labeled PC board. Easy to build and fired right up. Sine wave looks clean. Frequency is spot on. Impressive for something so simple. Will buy more to modify for other frequencies.

The only way to measure tip temperature accurately
There's a saying, "A man with a thermometer knows the temperature. A man with two thermometers isn't so sure." Trying to use a regular thermocouple probe to measure soldering iron temperature doesn't work very well. The Hakko 191 has a clever triangular thermocouple suspended between three posts, one post with a spring. It works great. Reading is in Celsius, I'll get more familiar with it as time goes on. Comes with 5 thermocouples and non-English directions. Uses a 9-volt battery. Five star product.

Buy this snare right now
Sonor Select Force Maple 6.5 x 14 snare. Sonor makes very high quality drums, everyone knows that. But I'd never seen the Select Force line in person. When I ordered it, I wasn't expecting much because of the low price. I expected something with quality similar to the Gretsch Catalina Club, or maybe Catalina Maple if I was lucky. But I am completely blown away. I immediately took it apart. The hardware is great. The throw-off is buttery smooth, the tension rods run smooth and had lube. The shell is amazing. Beautiful wood. The bearing edges are smooth, with good angle and consistent edge. Yes, even in the snare beds! This thing is cut and finished beautifully. The attention to detail and quality control is 100%. I put on my favorite wires and heads, then tuned it up. No creaks or pops when cranking up the resonant head. And it sounds beautiful. This snare is worth four times what I paid. I hope you are lucky enough to buy one before they are gone. Wow! Thank you to Sam and Sonor.
