In depth and scholarly, but very useful
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This commentary is well-written. It was written a long time ago and the prose is a little challenging, but it is very readable with a little patience.
Quite a bit of it is over my head (I read neither Greek nor Hebrew) but Lightfoot translates it. I am very interested in Jewish/rabbinic history and these books do not disappoint.
I was a little disappointed that it wasn't an exhaustive commentary, but I've just started using it. What I've read has already been useful.

Better quality than I could have hoped for!
Excellent quality book! I had borrowed this book from a friend and damaged it. This is a perfect replacement and is even better quality than his. Thanks
