Quality is excellent other than a surpri...
Quality is excellent other than a surprising lack of smoothness moving the scale back and forth. I'm hoping it will get smoother in the future with use.

An amazing personal video recorder for the price
The quality of recorded TV is outstanding -- far better than cable because there is no compression, the recording is a perfect duplication of the live digital broadcast. But the on-screen application is very basic. This is not like an Xfinity DVR, not even close! This device is more for the frugal technical enthusiasts out there that want to cut the cable. Antenna, patience, a toleration for bugs, and an appreciation for outstanding value are the basic requirements :-)

Carefully locate it in the room and get excellent performance
A few inches difference in location can make a big difference in performance so experimentation is necessary to get the most out of this type of antenna. This antenna worked just as well for us if it was mounted vertically on a wall or placed horizontally on a surface as long as we were patient in making slight location changes and checking the TV.
