Don't do it.
It is made very cheaply. As soon as I took it out of the packaging and put new batteries in, the light flickered for half a second then wouldn't work anymore. The sound is loud and not so great. I'm sure there is a better choice out there.

Gorgeous little light!
I LOVE this. It is simply gorgeous. It is white ceramic with a glossy finish when off so it's very pretty on it's own...and when it's on it illuminates this gorgeous soft glow. It's also twice as large as I thought it was going to be. It has the on/off switch on the cord for ease. I'm gifting it to my daughter for Christmas and I have to admit I'm a little jealous! :)

Fantastic product-I immediately purchased two more!
So I ordered this for my 6 year old son's room, it goes great with the pirate/nautical theme. It is a lot bigger than I had imagined it to be, and great quality! The bulbs aren't too bright like LED bulbs can be. Perfect for a nightlight, too! It has the option on the on/off switch for a 4 hour timer, too which is nice. It looks so awesome in his room that I bought two more the next day! What a cool gift this would be!
