For your own safety.
We have three bikes at home. Installed it on my wife's and one of mine. Worth every penny. Specially in the winter where there are puddles of water in the edge of the road and you need to go around them, this little device is a live saver. You don't have to continually look back to see if a car is coming. I wrote may years w/o one just because I wanted to my bike to look cool. This mirror is small enough to keep the look of your bike. I will be buying a third one for my other bike. Highly recommend.
