Hollywood Goes To War
An interesting book about an interesting man but obviously written by one who was an ardent fan and colleague during the war years. It portrays the hardships endured by the young men in the air war with Germany and of the endeavours of a well known personality to 'do his bit' for the war effort. Alas, there is only so much that can be written about one individual who tried to remain anonymous so the book has been 'padded' a bit and at time is repetitive. Many of the photos have been in the public domain for some time so not a lot new there.
If you are not aware of Jimmy Stewart's war years then this is a good introduction.
