Excellent Book
Every A4 Pacific shown in colour, with several images of each loco. The photos are top quality , and there is a fascinating history of the locomotive. Totally recommended for enthusiasts and modellers, or anyone who likes the steam era.

A great combination of the four book Har...
A great combination of the four book Harold Gasson wrote with entertaining stories about the old steam railway, both GWR and WR.
Very well written. I have read all four books but had to get 5he "Combined Volume" with new photos in it. Very enjoyable.

Informative book
Even though this is not the latest book it contains much detail of the status of locomotives. Personally I would have liked details of where each loco was cut up with the date as in older editions of the book. But nonetheless a good book.
