Expecting Hardcover, Received a Paperback

This review pertains to the item itself and not the content of the book: This series is a favorite from my childhood and I'm trying to put together a hardcover set with the original 1970's cover designs. The edition of the book I purchased was advertised as a hardcover copy, and that's what I was looking for and expecting. What I received is a paperback. The cover is very pretty, with silver metallic details, so I'm torn over whether to try to return it, or just keep it.
