It's a Death Trap! Buy this for your entry to the Darwin Awards!
8 von 9 finden das hilfreich This device is unlike other immersion heaters you will find being sold in the USA. Most immersion heaters use a heating element that is insulated with some material, so the AC current never flows in the water. This device works differently. It works by passing an electric current directly through the water. It is the equivalent of taking an AC cord and sticking the stripped ends directly into water, while making sure they don't touch!
This is incredibly unsafe. In anyone should touch the water, and happen to ground themselves by touching a cold water faucet handle, or some other grounded item, the current could pass through their body, and they would be electrocuted. If you doubt this, you can tell how this device works by checking with an ohmmeter. The two metal plates within the device are attached directly to the two prongs of the plug.
If you buy this, you are flirting with disaster, and have purchased your ticket for the Darwin Awards. There is a reason this device doesn't have any safety certifications on it... It's a Death Trap!
Please don't buy this thing, the couple bucks you'll save, is not worth your life!!!

Well Designed, Great Quality, Worth the Bit Extra it Costs!
This Ergotron HX Monitor Arm is either edge mounted or bolts through. I used the edge mount, which is very robust and holds well. Has a great amount of adjustability for desk thickness.
I like the ability to put the mount in place, followed by the lower arm. The upper arm can be mounted to the monitor, followed by placing the upper arm and monitor onto the lower arm. The tension adjustments allow for easy movement with a great range of monitor weights and sizes.
I chose Ergotron as they offer a Heavy Duty Tilt Pivot, which is designed to support my 49" Ultrawide Samsung Odyssey G9.
Another nice feature is that I am using the desk up against a wall. The mounts include a built in stop for the lower part of the arm, that stops it from rotating past the edge of the desk and hitting the wall. A nice feature which is much appreciated. My past arm lacked this, resulting in regular touchups with spackling compound to fix the dent, then paint. No longer necessary with the Ergotron HX Arm!
