Great performance

I have a reasonable CD collection of classical music from composers I like, including as many versions of Bruckner's symphonies as possible. The Haas version of symphony no. 8 was the only one I was missing. It has been great to complete the collection. The performance with Karajan and the Vienna Philharmic Orchestra is first rate and lasts about 83 minutes, unlike other performances of the Haas edition which only last about 75 minutes and, from other reviews, are rushed. It is a great shame that time catches up with people of the calibre of Karajan and I am not sure if comparable versions of the same piece of work exists.
