Too easy to accidentally change modes
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I only have one problem with this calculator but unfortunately it is quite a big one. I keep this calculator in my pocket at work so it's handy for calculating doses (these are drug doses and therefore important). Although it is a tunic pocket and not a tight trouser pocket, the slightest bit of pressure from moving around on a normal working day seems to change the mode on the calculator very easily, F mode, 2 mode and 0 mode. This basically rounds up the decimal point to a different place depending on which mode it is in.
To change the mode back is an awkward combination of 2 of the keys (okay anything is simple if you know how, but it's fiddly enough that I have to bring up online instructions each time). This may sound insignificant, but is extremely important in the situation I use it in. If not noticed it could be dangerous and it is time consuming to correct. A "lock" mode or similar would help.
I know it is a budget calculator and it is excellent value, but I don't see the point in rounding up the decimal points at all. Leave it as a basic calculator, "warts and all" and then no mistakes can be made. Surely most of us can round up in our heads. We need the calculator for the complex stuff and therefore don't want it simplified.
