Had a crack in the original and water got in so failed M.O.T. ordered a new one which arrived next day every bit as good as original took seconds to fit and works just as it should.

Excellent entry level flash
I have only just got into photography and bought this on the recommendation of a friend who said it was an excellent starting point, well he was'nt wrong I use it on my 1000d with excellent results it is much better than the built in flash. The biuld quality is very good for something in this price bracket and the battery life very good too. All in all a recommended buy.
